While direct donations of cash are crucial for our sustained operations, we also rely on donations of non-perishable items. BFC has partnered with Barrhaven Legion Branch 641 to organize a food drive, called the Red Bag Campaign! Red bags are provided by Purolator as part of their Tackle Hunger Program.
From now until Oct 5, please drop off a bag of non-perishable items at the Barrhaven Legion at 3500 Fallowfield Rd. You are welcome to pick up a red bag from the legion, but any bag will do!
We’ve set an ambitious goal of collecting 2,000 lbs of food and need your help to get there!
On Saturday from 2-4 PM the Barrhaven Legion is holding a community food drop off. We want the entire Barrhaven Community to participate!
Thank you to Switzer-Carty Transportation for donating the use of one of their buses to transport the collected food to the BFC.
